You can delete a single clip at any time, or permanently delete your entire account — every clip, every finding, and your 4thCoach sign-in itself. Both take effect immediately and can’t be undone. One exception: a finding’s shared link, if you ever created one, keeps working after deletion — see How do I share a finding?.

To delete one clip

  1. Open the clip’s review screen.
  2. Tap the menu and choose Delete clip (or, on an unanalyzed clip, use the same option from its context menu in the grid).
  3. Confirm. The clip and any findings tied to it are removed from your library right away.

To delete your whole account

  1. Open your Account screen and scroll to the bottom.
  2. Tap Delete account…, then confirm Delete account permanently.
  3. This permanently deletes your account, every clip you’ve uploaded, and all analysis history — it can’t be undone. The one thing this doesn’t reach: a finding you’d previously shared as a link — see “What can go wrong” below.

What can go wrong

  • A deleted clip briefly reappears: the app updates its list optimistically and confirms once the server finishes; if it doesn’t clear within a moment, pull to refresh.
  • What happens to old clips I never delete? The video itself auto-expires 180 days after you uploaded it, even if you never delete it — your findings and progress stay in your history either way. Deleting a clip yourself removes it and its findings from your account immediately, independent of that window.
  • I shared a finding before deleting it — is that link gone too? No. A shared finding lives at its own public link, separate from your account, so deleting the clip (or your whole account) doesn’t take that link down or pull back the cue text on it. See How do I share a finding? if you want to weigh that before you share.
  • Account deletion failed partway through: if it can’t complete (for example, no connection), you stay signed in and can try again — nothing is left half-deleted with you locked out.
